Referrals and Insurance
While we provide comprehensive care to our patients, there are times when it is necessary to refer to specialists for further evaluation and treatment. Many insurers create a "gatekeeper" model which requires the primary care physician to authorize referrals to specialists. We provide these referrals in consultation with you when medically needed and only after a visit with one of our providers. It is your responsibility to ensure that the specialist you choose to seek care from is covered by your insurance provider. When making an appointment, confirm this information.
*If you go to an appointment and your referral is not there or you don’t have it in hand you will be charged by the specialist.
