Guide for Walk in Clinic
Hours
- Monday 7:00 am - 8:30 am
- Friday 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Patients may arrive at the hours listed above without an appointment for select problems (see list below). Under no circumstances will patients arriving at other hours not listed be seen without an appointment. Patients walking in during NON WALK IN HOURS will be charged a $50 walk in fee if seen (at our discretion).
Who is eligible
All patients who are established patients of the practice are eligible to attend this clinic. Visitors or friends of family who have not been seen at Advanced Pediatrics before are not eligible for this clinic. The purpose of the clinic is not for medication refills.
Problems that will be seen in walk in clinic
Upon your arrival to our office, you will be given a checklist to verify that your child's medical complaint(s) is appropriate for our walk in clinic. Chronic problems that date back more than 3 weeks are not eligible for walk in clinic as they require a more detailed history and examination in most cases. Please respect these rules.
- Minor Illness Exams
- Fever less than 3 days
- Earache/ear infection
- Cold or Flu-like symptoms < 5 days
- Nasal Allergy symptoms
- Pink eye and itchy eyes
- Nasal congestion
- Sore throat / strep throat
- Cough, duration < 3 weeks
- Pain on urination (potty trained children only)
- Diarrhea/vomiting < 5 days duration
- Minor Injury Exams
- Blisters
- Bug bites and insect stings
- Scratch in eye
- Minor burns
- Abrasions/scrapes
- Sprains/strains (foot, ankle, knee)
- Other Medical Problems
- Acne
- Athlete’s foot
- Cold sores
- Head Lice
- Poison Ivy
- Ringworm
- Stye
- Sunburn
- Wart removal
