Kristen Johnson, MD, is a Doctor of Medicine specializing in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Advanced Pediatrics. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed medical school and residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she later served as Chief Pediatric Resident.
Dr. Johnson is board-certified in Pediatric Medicine. As a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), she was voted as a Northern Virginia Magazine Top Doctor (2021,2022) and Washingtonian Top Doctor (2021, 2022).
Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence, and she has a special interest in asthma, allergic disease, and nutrition. She speaks English and Spanish.
In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing, reading, and being outdoors with her family; coaching soccer; running, and cooking. She loves to travel and has had the good fortune to work and study in locations as diverse as London, Paris, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Bolivia.
Dr. Johnson lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband, two children, and dog.
